PRESS RELEASE of

Twisted Sister World Tour Cancelled

With deep regret, Twisted Sister have called off their 50th anniversary performances.

Due to sudden and unexpected conditions affecting Twisted Sister’s singer, Dee Snider, caused by a series of health issues, the band has been forced to cancel all upcoming shows, starting with the April 25 date in São Paulo, Brazil, and continuing throughout the summer.

A lifetime of legendarily aggressive performances has taken its toll on Dee Snider’s body and spirit. Unknown to the public until now, Snider (70) suffers from degenerative arthritis and has undergone several surgeries. Over the years, he has only been able to perform a few songs at a time despite the pain. As if that were not enough, Dee recently discovered that the intensity he devoted to his life’s work has also affected his heart. He can no longer push himself beyond the limits of rock ‘n’ roll fury as he did for decades. Snider stated: “I don’t know any other way to do rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I would rather walk away than become a shadow of myself.”

To quote the immortal words of Dirty Harry: “A man’s got to know his limitations.” Unfortunately, Dee Snider now knows his.

The Italian date scheduled for June 10, 2026 at Mind Live Theatre has therefore also been cancelled.
