After the extraordinary success of Up&Down — more than 200 performances and over 120,000 spectators across Italy — Paolo Ruffini and the Mayor von Frinzius Company return to the stage with a show that is already a national event: DIN DON DOWN – In Search of (G)od, which will take place at MIND Live Theatre in the Milano Innovation District.
Directed with vision and creativity by Lamberto Giannini, founder and soul of the Company, and with the artistic coordination of Rachele Casali, the show is the result of a deep collaboration between an actor-author and one of the most vibrant and groundbreaking theatre companies of our time. Din Don Down is much more than a variety show: it is a collective ritual, a comic and poetic exploration of the concept of God, in all the forms, appearances and possibilities through which we may seek or question it.
After exploring the theme of love, the Mayor von Frinzius Company — together with Ruffini, accomplice and protagonist — now turns to the sacred with the same language that has made them unique: irony, disobedience and tenderness. Nothing is ever entirely predictable: improvisation blends with poetry, rules are broken, and the very meaning of “normality” is overturned with both strength and delicacy.
Joining them on stage is the live music of the extraordinary Claudia Campolongo on piano.
The show will be staged at MIND Live Theatre, within the Milano Innovation District, one of Milan’s newest cultural and entertainment hubs.
