Mind Live Theatre
The MIND Live Theatre is the beating heart of entertainment within MIND – Milano Innovation District, rising in the iconic area that once hosted Expo 2015. This impressive open-air arena has been conceived as a premier destination for large-scale events, from concerts to international festivals, thanks to its strategic and easily accessible location and its state-of-the-art technical facilities.
The structure stands out for its exceptional functionality: the main arena features a striking covered stage reaching 14 meters in height, designed to support complex stage designs and installations that enhance the creative potential of every production. Special attention has been given to the audience experience: the 6,000 sqm standing area is shaped with a engineered artificial slope to ensure perfect visibility from every viewpoint.
In addition to the main arena, the venue offers further versatile open-air spaces, ideal for side performances and distributed entertainment moments that enrich the district’s cultural offering. Together with the Big Theatre, the MIND Live Theatre strengthens the district’s role as a new landmark for culture and live entertainment in Milan.

Located in Mind
Ten years after the Universal Exposition, the Expo 2015 site has been reborn as MIND – Milano Innovation District, a €4.5 billion urban innovation ecosystem spanning one million square meters. Developed through the synergy between Lendlease and Principia, the district is now Italy’s leading hub dedicated to Life Sciences and advanced research, with the ambition of becoming a fully integrated piece of city.
Part of a global network connecting Milan with cities such as London and Boston, MIND has already completed 30% of its development and welcomes approximately 10,000 people every day, including researchers, students, and professionals. The project revolves around four key public institutions: Human Technopole, IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi Sant’Ambrogio, Fondazione Triulza, and the future Campus of the University of Milan, which from 2027 will host over 20,000 students.
The transformation is moving steadily towards 2032, when the district will evolve into a true innovation city with 60,000 daily users. By 2026, the completion of the Horizon and MoLo buildings in the Westgate sector will further consolidate MIND’s role as a managerial and technological hub, integrating laboratories, sustainable offices, two major venues for international events, and new student residences — all embedded within a philosophy of green mobility and urban wellbeing.
